RWE, one of the world’s leading companies for renewable energies, is taking part in the third Global Offshore Wind Summit-Japan 2023 (GOWS-J) to be held in Kitakyushu-City in Kyushu, the forefront of the offshore wind power development in Japan, from 11 October to 13 October, 2023. This underlines RWE’s ambitions to further expand its renewables business to Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region. As a glold sponsor for the event, RWE will participate in the conference as speakers as well as in the exhibition. RWE staff will share their insights and experience in the development, construction and operation of large-scale offshore wind farms as well as its related businesses, such as power purchase agreements.

The International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) TC-209 Committee will host a one-day workshop on Geotechnics for Offshore Wind at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science (IIS) in Meguro, Tokyo, an event supported by the Japanese Geotechnical Society (JGS) and the International Society for Underwater Technology (SUT). RWE also supports the event as a corporate sponsor and will participate as speaker and panelist in the workshop. At this workshop, domestic and international offshore wind power experts will convene to discuss important advances in geotechnical engineering, recent cases, and future challenges. Data networks, mobility, industry, infrastructure, businesses, family: We all need energy.
