RWE Renewables Japan G.K. was established to handle renewables business in Japan. RWE saw great potential for offshore wind parks on the coastline of Japan. Our strategy is to join forces with Japanese partners whose local expertise complementing with RWE's world number 2 global experience and technical know-how, and who share our values and our ambition to drive the growth of offshore wind in Japan.

RWE Supply & Trading Japan Inc. was established as second RWE subsidiary in Japan to cater to the liberalized Japanese power market in the areas of wholesale, trading and retail. RWE Supply & Trading, a Germany based, leading energy trading company in Europe with a worldwide presence, brings over 20 years of experience in commodity trading to serve Japanese customers and trading partners with innovative products, hedging solutions and cross-commodity offerings.

On its way there, the company has set itself ambitious targets for all activities that cause greenhouse gas emissions.
